Welcome to Sound Environments
We are a small well-established specialist company, who design and create high quality but affordable, immersive, stimulating and positive spaces for communities. We focus on the interaction, participation and promotion of people’s experience within environments; aiming to enhance community, not simply decorate.
We achieve this through our in-depth understanding of environments – grounded in psychology, our sheer determination and delivery excellence to realise your goals.

Mev has a degree in psychology from the University of Montreal and a masters degree from Kings College London. She currently works as a marketing consultant for UK and North American companies, with a particular focus on branded content and TV advertising.
Artist, designer & animator
Zoe's work as an artist spans drawing, collage, animation and set design. She studied at Wimbledon College of Art before gaining her Masters at the Royal College of Art.
Dr Doherty has been designing and manufacturing high end recording equipment since 1987. His activities came to include designing recording studios, and work on acoustics for both isolation and internal treatment in a wide variety of environments. He has solved acoustic problems in unusual and challenging situations, creating very effective, unique and often striking solutions.
Sound Environments was formed in 2006, when, armed with our groundings in psychology and music, we ran music studies to calm behaviour on transportation networks, in retail outlets and also in ways proven by us to influence the behaviour of children in schools. This progressed to other aspects of environment/surroundings.
Then, by 2008, as part of our work to transform environments, we had created a robust, affordable and swift process for transforming unsightly panels on buildings, which has since been patented. We are proud to have recently partnered with TL Safety Systems to launch Daisyworx – safe transformation of buildings.
Our services and capabilities cover interior design, inspiring signage, multi-sensory approaches – colour, aroma and music, bespoke furnishings and blinds, animation, decoration, murals, art workshops, acoustic solutions, carpentry and small scale construction.
We’re a multi-disciplinary team who will do whatever it takes to make your environment a better place.
